CGN’s 5 Year Anniversary

This month we celebrate Church of God Network’s 5 year anniversary!

It’s been an incredibly encouraging and fulfilling 5 years. Complete with all of the challenges and joys that meaningful work brings. Thank you to everyone who has shown support and participated in this mission to help build community within the Church of God. We want to especially give a big shout out to the CGN volunteer team! As we’ve grown, they have been indispensable.

Thank you to all the leaders as well who have provided their feedback, support, and time. Ministers in the Church of God have consistently demonstrated their willingness to make the time to talk with us when we reach out despite their extremely busy schedules. It is greatly appreciated!

Here are some of the highlights from our first 5 years:

• The most comprehensive source of COG Congregation Information and Resources anywhere!
• The only source of aggregated COG member owned businesses in our COG Marketplace.
• A worldwide network of local contacts covering 27 states and 7 countries.
• A network of COG organizations dedicated to helping build community through participation in our 1% Initiative. As well as partnerships with Church organizations and nonprofits, like our joint scholarship offering to celebrate LifeNets 25th Anniversary.
• The CGN Podcast, which has featured a variety of guests (members and ministers) from across the COG.
• Dozens of blog posts sharing perspectives on important issues from brethren around the world.
• 3 grant programs (COG Development Program, Ephesians 4 Project, & Within Your Gates) with 39 grantees to date.

Please let us know if you ever have any ideas or suggestions for how we can improve what we do or if you have any concerns about our approach. We do not pretend to have all the answers nor all the skills needed to help the Church of God address its divisions. But we do know for certain that each one of us has our own gifts and abilities! If you’d like to help CGN in it’s mission check out our How You Can Help page for ideas.

We can’t wait to see what the next 5 years has in store!
