COG Fellowship Events grantee announced

We are thrilled to announce the very first grantee of our Church of God Fellowship Events program: Crystal Mullen

One of our biggest desires is to help facilitate face-to-face connection between brethren and the COG Fellowship Events program works toward that end! The COG Fellowship Events program awards micro-grants to individuals and Church congregations to help sponsor fellowship events that are open to brethren from all Church of God organizations. Crystal’s grant is the first step in this new and exciting journey.

Crystal’s event is a Pre-Feast of Tabernacles Black Tie Dinner. This will be the event’s 21st year! The event hosts brethren from over 7 different Church of God organizations and 15+ congregations. Crystal has been hosting the Black Tie Dinner event since she was 21 and a recent split was causing her sisters in Christ to go to a different Feast sight than her. Since then they have not missed a year! She hosts the event in her backyard. Check out the pictures we’ve included of past years in this p The setups are amazing!

This year she will be opening the event up to all ages and increasing the size by around 50 people. Church of God Network will be reimbursing her for expenses related to this expansion of the event. We cannot wait to see how the Black Tie Dinner goes this year! We’re praying for its success, Crystal!

If you or someone you know hosts, or is interested in hosting, an event that is open to brethren from across the Church of God, please consider applying to our COG Fellowship Events grant program. We love seeing brethren come together to fellowship and we hope this program encourages that to happen more often!
