Become a CGN Local Contact

Are you ready to play a key role in building a stronger, more connected Church of God community? As a CGN Local Contact, you’ll be an essential part of our mission, helping to foster meaningful relationships and strengthen bonds within the Body of Christ. Local Contacts are passionate individuals who are excited to connect with others, serve, and actively support the Church of God Network.

What You’ll Do:

As a CGN Local Contact, you’ll be the go-to person for CGN in your area, creating opportunities for connection and fellowship. Your role will primarily focus on:

1. Connecting individuals who share our mission—both members and leaders.
2. Serving the community by addressing local needs, such as natural disasters, challenges, and tragedies.
3. Building Bridges between different congregations by sharing CGN’s programs and resources.

We hope each CGN Local Contact experiences the joy of growing their Church network and feels more connected to their brothers and sisters in Christ than ever before.

Responsibilities:

• Fellowship Across Congregations: You’ll connect with at least two other groups each year, either through attending services or organizing informal gatherings like meals or events.
• Respond to Inquiries: Be the local point of contact for CGN and for inquiries from individuals in your area. Our team will support you along the way.
• Stay Connected: Participate in regular check-ins with the CGN team via phone or Zoom, and join our quarterly group meetings.

General Guidelines:

• Coordinate Visits: Always seek permission in advance when visiting other congregations and coordinate with your home congregation leadership to ensure it fits within your responsibilities.
• Serve: Find ways to help during your visits! Your willingness to serve will be greatly appreciated.
• Respect Leadership: Be mindful of the leadership in other congregations and approach your visits as a guest, respecting their authority and guidelines.
• Build Friendships: Your visits are an opportunity to build relationships. Take time to connect with others, forming lasting friendships that enrich the community.
• Promote Unity: Avoid controversial discussions that could create division. Focus on fostering peace and unity in all your interactions.
• Respond in Love: If you face challenges or difficult situations, always respond with kindness, embodying the love and grace that strengthens the Body of Christ.
• Stay Informed: Keep an eye out for opportunities where CGN can help, and stay connected with local brethren to be a trusted source of information and support.
